Housing Families' mission is to end family homelessness. We do this by providing safe, temporary shelter, creating affordable housing, and offering individualized supportive services to family members of all ages. We respect each family in its journey toward greater security and stability.

We also offer Children and Family Services, helping approximately 100 homeless children and their families each week to address educational and emotional concerns through tutoring, counseling and therapeutic arts and expressive play groups.

Our Vision-

A nonprofit organization that opened in
1986 sheltering four homeless families each night. Now, Housing Families helps over 400 homeless and/or very low-income people each day, 300 of whom are children. Housing Families provides emergency shelter, affordable permanent housing, and services for homeless children and adults in our Greater Boston community. We hope to become a solution to the problem of family homelessness in Massachusetts.
